March 27 (Reuters)The Canadian Competitors Bureau mentioned on Friday that the proposed sale of tour operator Transat A.T. Inc TRZ.TO to Air Canada AC.TO would probably lead to a considerable lessening or prevention of competitors within the sale of air journey or trip packages to Canadians.

Eliminating the rivalry between Air Canada and Transat with the proposed C$720 million ($514.76 million) sale would lead to elevated costs, much less alternative, decreases in service and a major discount in journey on routes the place their current networks overlap, the regulator mentioned.
