HANOI, April 2 (Reuters)Vietnam Airways HVN.HM will lose 50 trillion dong ($2.12 billion) in income this 12 months as most of its 106-strong fleet have been grounded as a result of coronavirus, state media reported on Thursday.

As much as 10,000 workers, or half the corporate’s workers, should cease working whereas others’ salaries have been lower, Tuoi Tre newspaper cited the chief government officer Duong Chi Thanh as saying.

“Like different airways, our enterprise is dealing with an important problem,” Thanh was quoted as saying.

The corporate suspended all worldwide flights from March 25 and has considerably lower its home operations to a minimal degree from Wednesday.
