The First Trust Indxx NextG ETF is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Thursday, with over 631,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 31,000. Shares of NXTG were up about 0.3% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Thursday were Apple, trading up about 1.2% with over 34.6 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Advanced Micro Devices, up about 3.6% on volume of over 26.8 million shares. GDS is the component faring the best Thursday, higher by about 8.8% on the day, while PHI is lagging other components of the First Trust Indxx NextG ETF, trading lower by about 2.5%.
