Chevron Corp. said Friday foreign currency effects increased third-quarter earnings by $624 million.
The company reported earnings of $11.2 billion in the quarter, up from $6.1 billion a year ago.
The FX contribution breaks down to $440 million in the international upstream operations, $179 million in international downstream and $5 million in “all other” effects, the San Ramon, Calif., oil major said.
The DXY dollar index is rising 0.3% Friday.
