KARACHI: Pakistan’s overseas change reserves elevated $402 million, or 1.96 p.c, within the week ended March 26, the central financial institution mentioned on Thursday.
The overall liquid overseas change reserves held by the nation stood at $20.836 billion, in contrast with $20.434 billion within the earlier week.
“Through the week ended March 26, 2021, the [State Bank of Pakistan] SBP) obtained $498.7 million from the IMF [International Monetary Fund] beneath EFF [Extended Fund Facility] program; after accounting for exterior debt repayments, the SBP reserves elevated by $378 million to $13,673.zero million,” the central financial institution mentioned in an announcement.
The foreign exchange reserves held by business banks additionally rose to $7.163 billion from $7.139 billion.
