Sensient Technologies Corp. said Friday it expects foreign currency headwinds of approximately 20 cents to impact 2022 earnings per share reported on a U.S. dollar basis.
The company reconfirmed expectations for 2022 full-year EPS to grow “at a high-teen growth rate” from 2021, and revenue to grow at a high single-digit rate in local currency.
The Milwaukee-based maker of colors, flavors and fragrances said FX translations decreased revenue by approximately 4% and EPS by 6% in the third quarter.
Sensient reported $361.1 million in revenue for the period, up from $344.3 million a year earlier. Diluted EPS was 85 cents, up from 80 cents in the third quarter of 2021, the company said.
