Tropical storms Marco and Laura have been anticipated to grow to be hurricanes as they gained energy and aimed for an unprecedented twin strike subsequent week on the mainland U.S.

Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards declared a state of emergency Friday forward of the storms and on Saturday requested President Donald Trump to grant federal emergency standing to the state.
“Tropical Storms Marco and Laura are forecast to influence Louisiana in fast sequence early subsequent week,” Edwards’ workplace stated in an announcement.

A tropical storm warning was in impact for Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and elements of the northern coast of the Dominican Republic and a tropical storm watch was issued for the central Bahamas and the Florida Keys from Ocean Reef to Key West and the Dry Tortugas, the hurricane middle stated.
