The prime minister Boris Johnson has met his cabinet, a day after he survived a confidence vote by his party’s MPs.
In an unusual move, his opening remarks were filmed and made available to broadcasters.
Over 40% of Conservative MPs voted to remove the prime minister from office. However, Mr Johnson described the outcome as convincing and said the party now had a chance to unite and get on with the job of governing.
