Brexit: PM and EU president to ‘take inventory’ of commerce talks

Boris Johnson and Ursula von der Leyen will communicate on Saturday

Boris Johnson will communicate to the president of the EU Fee Ursula von der Leyen on Saturday to “take inventory” of post-Brexit commerce negotiations and “focus on subsequent steps”.

The UK and the EU have been holding their ultimate formal rounds of commerce talks in Brussels this week.

Chief negotiators Lord David Frost and Michel Barnier are on account of meet later.

Each side have stated a deal must be agreed this month to take over from the transition interval initially of 2021.
