The EU’s chief negotiator, Michel Barnier, has warned the UK nonetheless faces a possible Brexit “cliff edge” if commerce talks don’t lead to a deal.
If no settlement is reached by the top of the transition interval in December, it “can’t be enterprise as regular”, he stated.
Mr Barnier was talking at a press convention alongside Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar.
