A Conservative meeting member who was arrested on New Yr’s Day has been launched with out cost.

Nick Ramsay, who represents Monmouth, was taken into custody after an incident at his dwelling.

Gwent Police stated officers arrested a 44-year-old man following a report of a “disturbance” at an handle in Raglan, Monmouthshire.

He has since been launched and faces “no additional motion” following an investigation, the drive stated.

Mr Ramsay was suspended from his party and the assembly Conservative group. following the arrest. The Welsh Conservatives stated it could assessment the suspension, put in place on Thursday.

The AM, who was elected in 2007, is the shadow finance minister and chairman of the Public Accounts Committee.

In an announcement, Gwent Police stated: “We obtained a report of a disturbance at an handle in Chepstow Street, Raglan on Wednesday 1 January at round 20:05.

“A 44-year-old man from the Raglan space was arrested following an incident however he has been launched with no additional motion following investigation.”

A spokesman for the Welsh Conservatives stated: “Additional to at present’s information, as no additional motion has been introduced, Nick’s suspension will now be reviewed and the result reported sooner or later.”
