Shadow chancellor Anneliese Dodds has accused the federal government of making uncertainty for companies and staff in its dealing with of the coronavirus pandemic.
It follows Chancellor Rishi Sunak’s announcement that the furlough scheme can be prolonged till the top of March.
Mrs Dodds mentioned the delays had value “livelihoods and lives” and identified that Mr Sunak had beforehand “ridiculed” a furlough extension as “a blunt instrument”.
