In a letter to constituents, MP Daybreak Butler stated she receives demise threats on an “nearly every day foundation”

A Labour MP who has acquired demise threats over race-related points has closed her constituency workplace after they “drastically escalated”.

Daybreak Butler, MP for Brent Central, says workers have been verbally abused and bricks had been thrown on the Willesden workplace in June.

Police are investigating an allegation of malicious communications. No arrests have been made.

Ms Butler stated she closed with workplace “with a heavy coronary heart”.

The MP stated she’s going to resume surgical procedures throughout the constituency, together with on the Civic Centre and Willesden Library.

In an open letter, Ms Butler stated the workplace “couldn’t fairly be made Covid-19 protected” and was a “continuous safety threat”.

“The menace to myself and my workers has drastically escalated,” she stated.

“I proceed to talk out on key points such because the affect of Covid-19 on the BAME neighborhood, the demise of George Floyd and Black Lives Matter.

“I proceed to obtain on an nearly every day foundation threats of violence and demise threats.”
