Labour’s Andy Burnham has been re-elected because the mayor of Higher Manchester in a landslide victory.
The 51-year-old was backed by 67.3% of voters to proceed because the area’s mayor for an additional time period.
Mr Burnham’s reputation has seen him grow to be the bookmakers’ favorite to grow to be the following Labour chief, despite the fact that he’s not within the Commons.
