The SNP’s Westminster chief has claimed the PM doesn’t know what’s in his Inner Market Invoice and that Conservative backbenchers are not looking for him to battle the following basic election.

Ian Blackford requested if Boris Johnson’s legacy can be to guide the UK into breaking worldwide regulation and to “break this failing union”.

Mr Johnson responded by joking that he was not sure from the query if Mr Blackford supported the union or not, and asking if he had modified his place on Scottish independence.
