The Batley and Spen MP says folks must “hearken to what we are saying not what we put on”
A Labour MP who confronted criticism on social media for her off-the-shoulder costume stated folks wanted to “hearken to what we are saying not what we put on”.
Tracy Brabin, the shadow tradition secretary, stated she had been “startled by the vitriolic nature” of some feedback.
She instructed BBC Breakfast it was her accountability to “name it out”.
“Girls around the globe… are being demeaned on a regular basis due to what they put on,” she stated.
The Batley and Spen MP had been elevating some extent of order within the Home of Commons on Monday about journalists being asked to leave a Downing Street press briefing on the following stage of Brexit talks, when her shoulder appeared.
She stated her barely off-the-shoulder costume had slipped a bit of as she leant ahead to talk.
