Gavin Williamson mentioned English pupils may use their “moderated” grade awarded by Ofqual, sit their exams in October, or attraction in opposition to the grade they’re given.

The training secretary mentioned the federal government was “assured” it might be capable to take care of any appeals, and that it was “essential these have been handled swiftly”.

He added: “We need to get this proper for younger individuals.”

A-levels outcomes might be revealed on Thursday morning, with GCSEs following seven days later.
