In an announcement to POLITICO, Ferguson mentioned: “I settle for I made an error of judgment and took the improper plan of action. I’ve subsequently stepped again from my involvement in Sage.”

He defined he acted within the perception he was resistant to coronavirus, after having examined optimistic and self-isolated for nearly two weeks from the second he began displaying signs.

Ferguson, who was credited with persuading the federal government to impose the lockdown, apologized for “any undermining of the clear messages across the continued want for social distancing to manage this devastating epidemic.”

He added: “The federal government steering is unequivocal, and is there to guard all of us.”
