Senate Minority Chief Mitch McConnell arrives for votes on President Joe Biden's cupboard nominees, on the Capitol in Washington, Thursday, Feb.
Senate Minority Chief Mitch McConnell stated on Thursday he would help Donald Trump in 2024 if he grew to become the Republican presidential nominee, lower than two weeks after condemning the previous president for the Capitol revolt.
“The nominee of the celebration? Completely,” McConnell informed Fox Information’ Bret Baier on Thursday when requested whether or not he would again Trump if he bought the nomination.
The comment comes amid a dramatic, public row between the previous president and McConnell within the wake of the Jan. 6 Capitol riots — an occasion for which McConnell blamed Trump in scathing statements on the Senate flooring. Trump in flip blasted McConnell final week as an “unsmiling political hack” who’s weakening the Republican Social gathering.
