About 1,100 troops from the D.C. Nationwide Guard and 650 from Virginia will deploy in Washington on Wednesday night time, a Nationwide Guard spokesman stated Wednesday night time.
“Your entire D.C. Nationwide Guard has been mobilized and is ready to help regulation enforcement officers in numerous places within the metropolis to guard property, permitting federal and native regulation enforcement officers to do law-enforcement missions,” Capt. Tinashe T. Machona, a spokesman for the D.C. Guard, stated in a press release.
He stated the D.C. Military and Air Nationwide Guard have a mixed 2,700 troops.
