DUBAI, Nov 22 (Reuters) – Makers of plane components are making contingency plans for a protracted grounding of Boeing’s 737 MAX, with a number of anticipating the jet’s return to service to take longer than the planemaker hopes.
The beginning date of deliveries of the MAX, grounded worldwide in March following a second deadly crash in 5 months, and the tempo of manufacturing, which impacts costs of plane components, had been key subjects of debate amongst suppliers on the Dubai Airshow this week.
