PARIS, Dec 20 (Reuters) – Airbus AIR.PA reiterated on Monday that its A350 jet is safe after Qatar Airways announced it was taking the planemaker to court in a dispute over surface damage to some planes.
Airbus said it had nothing to add to earlier statements that it has found the root cause of surface damage on some A350s and that it is working with customers and safety authorities.
“We are working with the customers in order to provide enhancements,” an Airbus spokesperson said.
Qatar Airways denies that the skin flaws have been properly understood and said earlier it wanted Airbus to mount a “thorough investigation” and address its concerns without delay.
