SYDNEY/MELBOURNE, Feb 3 (Reuters) – Australia’s International
Minister Marise Payne mentioned 243 residents and everlasting residents
evacuated Wuhan on Monday on an Australian government-chartered
plane, fleeing the epicentre of the coronavirus outbreak
which has killed 361 folks.
The 243 folks shall be quarantined in a detention centre on
a distant island within the Indian Ocean off Australia’s northwest
coast. The Australian-run centre has prior to now been used to
detain asylum seekers.
“We’ve prioritised weak and remoted Australians

reporters in Canberra.
