WASHINGTON, Jan 7 (Reuters)Boeing Co BA.N can pay over $2.5 billion to resolve the Justice Division’s investigation into two lethal 737 MAX crashes that killed 346 individuals, the Justice Division stated.

The Justice Division stated the settlement features a felony financial penalty of $243.6 million, compensation funds to Boeing’s 737 MAX airline prospects of $1.77 billion, and the institution of a $500 million crash-victim beneficiaries fund to compensate the heirs, kinfolk, and authorized beneficiaries of the passengers.
