SEATTLE, Could 19 (Reuters) – Boeing Co BA.N resumed deliveries of its best-selling 737 MAX on Wednesday, following approval of a repair for {an electrical} grounding situation that sidelined dozens of jets, an individual accustomed to the matter advised Reuters.
Reuters reported on April 16 that Boeing stopped delivering its money cow single-aisle 737 MAX after {the electrical} grounding downside – months after the aircraft returned to service following a prolonged security ban.
A Boeing spokesman didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.
Earlier this month, the U.S. planemaker gained approval from U.S. regulators for a repair for {the electrical} grounding situation that had affected about 100 737 MAX airplanes.
That approval cleared the best way for the jet’s fast return to service. Airways had pulled dozens of 737 MAX jets from service in early April after Boeing warned of {the electrical} downside, linked to a backup energy management unit within the cockpit on some just lately constructed airplanes.
The issue was then present in two different locations on the flight deck, together with the storage rack the place the management unit is stored and the instrument panel going through the pilots.
