SEATTLE/PARIS, Oct 9 (Reuters)Boeing Co BA.N confronted extra uncertainty on Wednesday over future manufacturing charges for its 787 Dreamliner after Russian provider Aeroflot AFLT.MM formally canceled an order for 22 plane valued at about $5.5 billion at listing costs.

The cancellation, first reported by the Seattle Instances and buried in Boeing’s month-to-month order launch, is the ultimate step in unwinding an order that had been shrouded in uncertainty ever for the reason that airline mentioned in 2015 it not wanted the planes.

However the misplaced enterprise theoretically knocks a gap within the manufacturing profile for the 787 Dreamliner after the world’s largest planemaker elevated its build-rate to 14 plane monthly from 12 at twin U.S. factories.

Barring new orders, Boeing faces the rising risk that it might have to chop manufacturing again by 2022, trade sources say, piling on new stress because the grounding of the smaller 737 MAX stretches into its eighth month.
