WASHINGTON, June 16 (Reuters)The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on Wednesday issued a directive for Boeing Co BA.N requiring operators of 737 MAX airplanes to conduct further inspections for the airplane’s automated flight management system.

The directive makes necessary directions launched by Boeing in December that advocate planes with greater than 6,000 flight hours be topic to particular digital checks.
