TOKYO, June 17 (Reuters)Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture on Thursday purchased 207,472 tonnes of food-quality wheat from america, Canada and Australia in a daily tender.

Japan, the world’s sixth-biggest wheat importer, retains a decent grip on imports of the nation’s second-most essential staple behind rice and buys nearly all of the grain for milling by way of tenders usually issued 3 times a month.
