TOKYO, Aug 24 (Reuters) – Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture sought 81,853 tonnes of food-quality wheat from the US and Canada in an everyday tender.
Japan, the world’s sixth-biggest wheat importer, retains a good grip on imports of the nation’s second-most vital staple after rice and buys nearly all of the grain for milling by way of tenders usually issued thrice a month.
