MILAN/FRANKFURT, Oct 31 (Reuters) – German provider Lufthansa LHAG.DE is able to make investments as much as 200 million euros ($223 million) in struggling Italian airline Alitalia CAITLA.UL, a supply near the matter stated on Thursday.
Confirming studies in two Italian dailies, the supply stated Lufthansa had written to Italy’s trade ministry and Italian railways Ferrovie dello Stato on Tuesday saying it was able to take a stake in Alitalia.
