March 30 (Reuters) – Macy’s Inc M.N stated on Monday it could furlough most of its 130,000-strong workforce beginning this week as the entire firm’s shops have been briefly shut as a result of coronavirus pandemic.
The division retailer chain added that there can be fewer furloughs in its digital enterprise, which continues to be operational, supporting distribution facilities and name facilities.
Macy’s had about 130,000 staff as of Feb. 2.
