S.Korea’s Hanjin Group evaluations shopping for Asiana Airways – report

SEOUL, Nov 12 (Reuters)South Korea’s Hanjin Group, proprietor of the nation’s largest airline Korean Air Strains Co Ltd 003490.KS, is in talks to accumulate debt-ridden Asiana Airways Inc 020560.KS, native media reported on Thursday, citing unnamed funding banking sources.

The Korea Financial Every day mentioned Hanjin Group has been in talks with Korea Improvement Financial institution (KDB) KDB.UL and will likely be submitting a letter of intent to the financial institution subsequent as early as subsequent week.

Hanjin Group advised Reuters nothing has been determined, whereas Asiana Airways mentioned they weren’t conscious of such talks.

Asiana’s lead creditor KDB mentioned in an emailed assertion talks with Hanjin Group was one of many choices into consideration but in addition mentioned that nothing had been determined.
