CAPE TOWN, Dec 5 (Reuters) – South Africa’s failing nationwide airline SAA is anticipated to get an additional 2 billion rand ($136 million) enhance from authorities and one other 2 billion from current lenders because it enters enterprise rescue proceedings from Dec. 5 in a bid to stop a collapse, a minister mentioned on Thursday.
SAA, which has not made a revenue since 2011 and relies on authorities bailouts to stay solvent, suffered a crippling strike final month that pressured it to cancel tons of of flights and pushed it to the brink of collapse.
