Nov 6 (Reuters) – The Worldwide Civil Aviation Group (ICAO) on Friday requested Iran to expedite the investigation into the downing of a Ukrainian airliner in January.
The advice from ICAO, a specialised company of the United Nations that works to make sure security in worldwide air transport, comes almost 10 months after a Ukraine Worldwide Airways flight was shot down by an Iranian ground-to-air missile, killing 176 folks.
“We’ve had a number of exchanges with the Iranian CAA wherein we urged its authorities to expedite the accident investigation,” ICAO council president Salvatore Sciacchitano mentioned. (https://bit.ly/38kTa2L)
