Updates with USDA information
CHICAGO, Aug 23 (Reuters) – The U.S. Division of Agriculture rated 60% of the U.S. corn crop in good-to-excellent situation in its weekly crop progress report on Monday, down 2 proportion factors from the earlier week, whereas analysts surveyed by Reuters on common had anticipated solely a 1-point decline.
For soybeans, the USDA rated 56% of the crop nearly as good to glorious, down from 57% the prior week and matching commerce expectations for a 1-point drop.
The U.S. spring wheat harvest was 77% full, the federal government mentioned, up from 58% the earlier week and nicely forward of the five-year common of 55%. Analysts surveyed by Reuters on common had estimated harvest progress at 74%.
