JOHANNESBURG, Jan 16 (Reuters)Vedanta Zinc Worldwide VDAN.NS stated on Saturday that mining has began once more at its Gamsberg mine in South Africa following a closure in November when the pit wall collapsed, trapping miners underground.

The corporate didn’t specify what capability it’s working at.

“The Division of Mineral Sources and Vitality granted permission to begin stockpile feed and mining on the East pit within the final portion of December, adopted by permission to begin mining on the West Pit within the first week of January,” Vedanta Zinc Worldwide administration stated in an emailed response.

“No ore mining manufacturing occurred in December, with a gradual ramp-up anticipated in January.”
