NEW DELHI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh’s son for questioning in an alleged overseas trade violations case, official sources stated on Friday.
Raninder Singh has been requested to depose on the central probe company’s workplace in Jalandhar on October 27, they stated.
The summons pertain to a case registered by the ED below the International Change Administration Act (FEMA) with regard to alleged possession of undisclosed belongings overseas.
He was questioned by the company on this case in 2016 and was requested to elucidate the alleged motion of funds to Switzerland and creation of a belief and some subsidiaries within the British Virgin Islands.
The alleged cases of possession of properties in overseas was first investigated by the Revenue Tax Division.
Raninder Singh had earlier denied any wrongdoing.
The company will file Raninder Singh’s assertion once more as soon as he deposes, the official sources stated.
