India’s Forex rose by over $10bn during last week of July

 

India’s foreign exchange reserves rose by 10.5 billion US dollars (USD) to 692.8 billion US dollars during the week ended July 31. According to the Reserve Bank of India data, Foreign currency assets, the largest component of the reserves, increased by 8.7 billion USD to 564.6 billion USD during the week. Gold reserves added 1.6 billion USD to 104.7 billion US dollars. Special Drawing Rights increased by 48 million USD to 18.66 billion USD. Country’s reserve position with the International Monetary Fund was up by 28 million USD to around 4.8 billion USD.
