LME Clear has announced the appointment of Claire Chapman as Independent Non-Executive Director of the Board.
Claire Chapman is currently General Counsel, Company Secretary and Chief People Officer of Hargreaves Lansdown plc. Prior to this role, she held a number of General Counsel positions over a 20-year period, including at Capita plc, Daily Mail & General Trust plc, Inchcape plc and Thomson Reuters plc.
Commenting on the appointment, David Warren, LME Clear Chairman, said:

She brings with her a wealth of legal, regulatory and governance expertise that will further enhance the breadth and depth of the LME Clear Board’s knowledge and skillsets. Claire Chapman trained at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, qualifying into the intellectual property practice in 1993. She has a Masters in International Law and is a qualified solicitor (England and Wales) as well as attorney (New York).
