ISLAMABAD, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) — The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said its foreign exchange reserves increased by 56 million U.S. dollars to around 7.695 billion dollars during the week ended on Sept. 15, the central bank said in a statement on Thursday.

Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks came at 5.5 billion dollars, it added.

Total liquid foreign reserves held by the South Asian country stood at about 13.2 billion dollars, according to the SBP.
