Igor Boros, VFX veteran in the advertising field and former creative director at BBDO/Ricochet, is joining Rodeo FX at their new Toronto office where he will oversee the visual effects and creative direction of its fast-expanding Advertising and Experiential division.

With a decade as a creative director, Igor worked on countless projects, bringing ads to life for global clients such as PepsiCo, Mars, Bayer AG, Visa, and FedEX. He was a Flame artist on campaigns for Lululemon Team Canada and Molson Ultra (both with Alter Ego). As a Senior Flame Artist, Igor possesses a strong artistic understanding that allows him to handle complex projects from ideation to post-production.

“Post-production in advertising is first and foremost a creative service. It’s about offering all the resources and coordinating them, so you can bring the project to the finish line,” explains Igor. “It takes a lot of people and you need to be agile because things go so fast in this industry.”

Rodeo FX launched a new Toronto office in June 2022 which currently boasts 80 VFX artists, and is excited about expanding its roster for Rodeo’s Advertising and Experiential division. The division, led by Boros and recently-appointed Executive Producer Marie-Piere Poulin, will be able to leverage different pipelines and mobilize resources from the entire creative company for local and international projects like recent campaigns for Nissan, Holt Renfrew, The Callisto Protocol, and Prime Video.

“Toronto is a key market for us, because it’s not just a hub for Canadian campaigns, but also worldwide. And with Rodeo we have the opportunity to provide pipelines that can really adapt to our client’s realities, be it an agile and efficient advertising spot, or a complete blockbuster-inspired VFX-filled campaign,” adds Igor.
