Tech View: Nifty to face resistance around 19,100 level. What traders should do on Thursday
The short-term trend of the Nifty continues to be weak. It is expected to slide down to the lower support of 18,850 levels (200-day EMA) once again before showing another round of upside bounce from the lows. Any intra-week up move from here could encounter resistance around 19,100 levels, said Nagaraj Shetti of HDFC Securities.
Open Interest (OI) data showed the highest OI for call options was observed at the 19,100 strike price, followed by the 19,200 strike price. On the put side, the highest OI was found at the 18,900 strike price.

TV Today Network Q2 Results: Net profit declines 64% to Rs 7.02 crore
TV Today Network Ltd on Wednesday reported a 64.4% decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 7.02 crore for the second quarter ended September. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 19.72 crore in the July-September period a year ago, it said in a regulatory filing.

REC Q2 Results: Net profit up 39% YoY to Rs 3790 crore
State-owned REC Ltd on Wednesday posted a nearly 39 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 3,789.90 crore in the September quarter compared to the year-ago period mainly on the back of higher revenues. Consolidated net profit stood at Rs 2,732.12 crore in the quarter ended on September 30, 2022, a BSE filing showed.
Total income rose to Rs 11,701.26 crore in the quarter from Rs 9,964.00 crore in the same period a year ago.
“The US Fed is most likely to hold rates in this meeting but the message from the Fed chief Powell will be hawkish since the economy is surprisingly resilient with a 4.9 % growth in Q3 GDP. The high bond yields in the US also indicate that the market expects the higher for longer rate regime to continue for some time. Since no surprise is expected from the Fed meeting outcome, the market is unlikely to be impacted. But the high bond yields will weigh on markets and FIIs can be expected to continue selling. The consequent weakness in sectors like financials where the FIIs hold a major segment of their holding will provide buying opportunities for long-term investors.”
