“The Bear” creator Christopher Storer has lined up a new television project at FX.

Variety has confirmed that Storer and FX won the rights to the upcoming book “All the Other Mothers Hate Me” by journalist Sarah Harman in a strong bidding war said to have included more than a dozen other parties.

The book is described as a satirical thriller about “an American woman who suspects her beloved son might have murdered a wealthy pupil at his West London private school,” per the description from the publisher.

Storer will produce via his American Light & Fixture production banner alongside Josh Senior and Cooper Wehde. Harman is expected to pen the adaptation of the book, which is not due to be published until 2025, though it recently won the 2023 Lucy Cavendish Prize.

Storer is a fast-rising star at FX given the success of “The Bear.” The show has released two highly-touted seasons to date, with Season 1 recently racking up 13 Emmy nominations. That includes nominations for best comedy series, best writing for a comedy series, and a slew of nominations for the series’ cast. Season 2 of the show debuted in June and received rave reviews.

“All the Other Mothers Hate Me” is Harman’s debut novel. She is a broadcast journalist based in London who has previously done work for NBC News, including reporting for “Today,” “NBC Nightly News,” and MSNBC.

Storer is repped by WME and Kaplan/Perrone. “All the Other Mothers Hate Me” was also repped by WME.
