Ukraine Central Bank Weekly Net FX Sales Totaled $1.15 Billion

Ukraine supported the hryvnia with $1.15 billion in net sales of foreign exchange in the first week of a more flexible currency policy aimed at helping the economy.

“Is it a lot? Definitely yes. But is this price too high for abandoning rate-fixing and avoiding the crisis consequences of long-term preservation of this regime? Exactly not.” Ukrainian National Bank Governor Andriy Pyshnyi said on Facebook.
