Commons Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle has warned MPs to not “identify” the Conservative accused of rape.

The MP in his 50s was arrested on 1 August on suspicion of 4 separate incidents, involving allegations of sexual offences and assault.

His bail has been prolonged to the center of November.

Sir Lindsay instructed the Commons that the accused had “voluntarily agreed to not attend the Home of Commons for the interval of the bail”.
