Coronavirus: Russian hackers goal Covid-19 vaccine analysis

Russian hackers are focusing on organisations making an attempt to develop a coronavirus vaccine within the UK, US and Canada, safety providers have warned.

The UK’s Nationwide Cyber Safety Centre (NCSC) stated the hackers “nearly definitely” operated as “a part of Russian intelligence providers”.

It didn’t specify which organisations had been focused, or whether or not any data had been stolen.

However it stated vaccine analysis had not been hindered by the hackers.

The hackers are a part of a bunch known as APT29, also called “the Dukes” or “Cozy Bear”.

The NCSC stated it was greater than 95% sure that APT29 was a part of the Russian intelligence providers.
