Shadow Well being Secretary Jonathan Ashworth has mentioned the federal government is taking a “excessive danger, fatalistic strategy” to lockdown easing.

Mr Ashworth informed the Commons there was a rise in hospital admissions, and added the strain on the NHS has already led to cancelled surgical procedures.

Earlier, Well being Secretary Sajid Javid confirmed that England’s lockdown easing would go forward as deliberate on 19 July.
