Sajid Javid says that delays to a plan to tackle a backlog of patients on hospital waiting lists in England was not down to money.
Details of the NHS scheme were expected to be published on Monday, but were delayed at the last minute, with reports suggesting the Treasury wanted to delay publication.
The health secretary insisted that the Treasury was an “excellent partner”, and not the reason for the delay.
