The transport secretary has said energy will not be rationed in the UK despite pressure on supplies driven by global economic shocks.
Grant Shapps told Clive Myrie on the Sunday Morning programme he didn’t think it was a good idea for Britain and said parts of Europe were “very exposed” to Russian energy.
It comes as a number of European countries are looking into the policy of rationing.
