Labour chief says the federal government wants to assist leaseholders in unsafe properties who’re being requested to choose up prices of repairs to take away harmful cladding from their flats.
Sir Keir Starmer mentioned authorities dealing with of help for individuals with cladding on their properties “isn’t sufficient cash and it’s not focused sufficient”.
Visiting residents of Royal Artillery Quays in Woolwich, south east London, he mentioned: “Harmless leaseholders, who’re dwelling in lodging which is unsafe, who can’t transfer, are being requested to choose up the invoice.
“Whether it is clearly flawed – do one thing about it.”
